Treecreeper in garden

Post by Joyce Riley »

Watched a Treecreeper climbing up the trunk of my large Silver Birch tree whilst I was eating my lunchtime sandwiches today. Although I have seen Treecreepers in the garden in the past, this species is certainly a rare garden visitor but obviously they are seen occasionally by visitors to the adjacent Astley Park!

A first in my garden today was a grey wagtail on the paving slabs amongst the usual sparrows and dunnocks. Interesting as there are no ponds nearby and the nearest watercourse is some distance away.
