Winter Hill - shrouded in low cloud - no birds seen or heard. The gate at the entrance to the mast is locked and the footpath closed; lots of banging and crashing going on so the chances of any interesting migrants turning up in that area (e.g. Black Redstart & Snow Bunting) is unlikely until the work stops.
Lower Rivington Reservoir(south end) - 15 Mallard in the flooded trees & 2 Moorhen heard, 3 (2f & 1m) Goosander on the very misty lake were all I could see.
Anglezarke Reservoir (south end) - again viewing much restricted due to the low cloud, but 29 Black Headed Gull and 1 Moorhen seen.
Belmont Reservoir - approx 70 Mallard seen, 18 Teal, 40 Lapwing with 18 on the island at the north end and 22 on the landing stages, 1 Gull over, 2 Common Scoter, 7 Wigeon, 1 Magpie, 1 Robin, 1 Barn Owl, 1 Kestrel, 1 Blackbird & 1 Cormorant.
Out and about, Rivington & Belmont
