Chorley Cemetery & Great Knowley

Post by Leonard Poxon »

Great Knowley - yesterday - 1 Kestrel being harried by firstly a Raven and then a Magpie. Common Buzzard heard.

Great Knowley - today - I found 2 Blackening Waxcaps growing inside a wooden barrel which contains a Bay Tree and has been in the same location for over 5 years. Makes you wonder how they get there, would it have been dormant in the compost?, on the tree roots prior to planting? or could it be from spores that have blown in?
