9.00-12.30 - huge numbers of pink foots (estimated 8000+) on flooded fields, periodically moving en masse. Small number of whoopers over and a mute with the pink foots. Also big flocks of starling, woodpigeon and lapwing, with smaller numbers of fieldfare and redwing. Counted 48 ruff with the lapwings. Buzzard, kestrel, sparrowhawk and a peregrine trying to take out a starling. Smaller birds incl c snipe, yellowhammer, reed bunting, linnet, goldfinch, chaffinch, skylark, stonechat (f), tree sparrow, pied wagtail.
