White Coppice and Eyes Lane

Post by John Frankland »

White Coppice
Very little vismig this morning apart from 2 Meadow Pipit S and 1 Redpoll S

Highlight though was something I can't say I've seen before - a big female Peregrine attacking a Cormorant in flight ! The Cormorant escaped and so the Peregrine turned its attention to a Carrion Crow but with the same outcome.

A few Long tailed Tit, Coal Tit and a Goldcrest.

2 Mute Swan on the lodge facing you on the exit road.

Eyes Lane
Relatively quiet than of late but still managed:

Great White Egret 1 end of ditch
Grey Heron 4
Ruff 1
Lapwing 126
Buzzard 1
Kestrel 1
Grey Wagtail 2
Mallard 50 on river
Skylark 20
Kingfisher 1 heard only
