Large numbers of birds this afternoon , 1000 + of pinkfoot ( may have been more ) feeding on the stubble ( many more over eyes lane ) , 50 canada geese , around 400 starlings , hundreds of corvids , 2 buzzard , 3 kestrel , 1 sparrowhawk , 5 snipe in flight , a pair of stonechat were good to see , 2 small flocks of linnet , low numbers of reed bunting and only 1 yellowhammer , the lapwing flock had grown to 200+ birds , small flock of redwing dropped into the double hedgerow at dusk and a good end to the night was hearing then spotting 4 whooper swans flying over my house at 6.40pm heading eastward .
