Croston/mawdesley moss .
Another evening visit , checked out another boggy area near to the railway line and flushed 15 snipe , the usual buzzards and kestrels were knocking about , flock of around 30 linnet feeding on the stubble , low numbers of reed bunting , yellowhammer and meadow pipit , large distant flocks of pinkfoot , 15 lapwing , 2 heron , a sad sight was of a juv shelduck on one of the drainage ditches which looked totally lost and may have not been able to fly , a roe deer showed well and spotted a hare amongst a wheat field .
