Friday: Noted lots of fungi on the verges under the birch trees through Buckshaw Village (possibly clouded funnel and Birch Knight) and several funnel fungi in the verge next to the Bowling Green PH.
Today:
White Coppice this morning (in the rain) - Along the Goit were Fly Agaric, Puffball, Earthball, Ochre Brittlegill, a lovely patch of Sulphur Tuft (the most I have ever seen) with a number of groupings spread over 2-3m, Black Earthtongue, Tawny Funnel, Birch Polypore, The Deciever, Blushing Bracket and a couple more as yet unidentified. On the cricket field were several fungi (though nowhere near as many as last year) including Golden, Crimson and Heath Waxcap and Earthy Powdercap.
Chorley Cemetery - Clustered Brittlestem, Honey Fungus (widespread beneath a Beech Tree), Shaggy Inkcap, Butter Waxcap, Small Stagshorn, Turkeytail, Purple Brittlegill, Yellow Tooth Slime Mould and 2 others yet to be identified.
Great Knowley - in my front garden - Parrot Waxcap, Birch Polpore.
