Bretherton eyes floods .

The whoopers had moved on from the site there was only 6 canada geese and a few gulls on the water , a few skylark and meadow pipit about , at least 4 tree sparrow in a hawthorn hedgerow , 1 kestrel , around 100 mallard on the douglas ( high tide ) and what looked like a fem goosander with its head tucked under its wing , small numbers of pinkfoot on the stubble near to the lostock .

Afternoon stroll. 2.30-4.00.

Additional sightings to Gary's were a Grey Heron. Corn Bunting C12. Yellowhammer 4. Goldfinch c20. Long Tailed Tit 2.

Mammals. Stoat. Bank Vole. Grey Squirrel 3 and a deceased Brown Rat on the road
