Croston/mawdesley moss .

1 mute swan and 3 moorhen on the river , at least 2 buzzard ( 1 very pale individual ) 3 kestrel , 6 snipe flushed from various boggy areas , 3 swallow , 20 house martin , 50 meadow pipit , 20 linnet , 2 reed bunting , 1 yellowhammer , 100+ lbb gulls , 3 pheasant , 1 gs woodpecker , 20 canada geese , small numbers of corvids and woodpigeons ,1 heron , highlight of the evening was flushing a green sandpiper off a small pool on the mawdesley side the bird flew off high to the west calling .
