Morning stroll .10.30-1.00.
Good numbers of Goldfinch today, several small parties seen, plus a flock of c40 by the double hedge and c80 feeding on seed heads by the decoy pond.
Other sightings. Corn Bunting. Linnet c50. Greenfinch 12. Mixed flock of 100+ Swallows and House Martins, roughly equal numbers of each.. Lesser Black Backed Gull 7. Herring Gull 30. Cormorant overhead. Moorhen. Mallard. Stock Dove 2. Buzzard. Kestrel 3, looked like a family party. Kingfisher on the Douglas near Great Hanging Bridge.

Skein of c200 Geese seen in the distance over Bretherton Eyes, headed south. Much too far away for a positive ID, although they had the look of Pink Footed, bit early though?

Mammal. Mink on the Douglas.

Butterflies. Peacock 2. Small Tortoiseshell. Red Admiral
