Eyes Lane gulls

Post by John Frankland »

A mixed flock of 300+ gulls feeding and roosting in harvested wheat field.

Roughly 125 BH Gull, 100 LBB Gull and 75 Herring Gull. Also single Common Gull. 90% were adult.

Also contained an interesting looking Gull which was mid grey on wings between LBB and Herring and appeared to have yellow legs although only brief views of legs. Overall it looked cleaner and sleaker than the Herrings and was keeping itself to itself. If anyone's in the area with more experience of Yellow Legged Gull, may be worth calling in.

Also seen, 2 Ravens, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Cormorant, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel and 2 Linnets.
