Doles lane , checked out several wheat fields in the area hoping for calling quail but no luck , at least 4 yellowhammers , 2 reed bunting , 20 stock dove were feeding in one area , and an impressive count of 11 hares .
Moss / finney lane , 2 buzzard , small flock of linnet , several whitethroat , good numbers of yellowhammers again , heard a curlew heading west , large flock of corvids in the distance , 2 skylark , highlight was 2 calling quail in the same field ( 9.00pm ) also 2 more hares .
