Just had a visit to moss lane but no luck with the quail , heard a yellowhammer , buzzard , house sparrows were feeding in the wheat field , had a flying visit to e shaped ponds 2 whitethroat , 2 chiffchaff , heard bullfinch , several reed bunting , small numbers of mallard on the open water , highlight was a singing reed warbler in the grounds of the ponds , the reedbed at the back of the sight has been heavily grazed by the horses .
