Croston/mawdesley moss .

3 mute swan on the river , at least 6 yellowhammer ( 2 carrying food ) , 1 singing corn bunting , los of singing whitethroat , reed buntings , 2 singing sedge warbler , 3 chiffchaff , 1 blackcap , skylarks , lapwings , 4 buzzard , 3 kestrel , 1 mistle thrush , 1 gs pecker , 2 pied wagtail , 2 hare , several red admiral , s t shell , and a small white , male and female banded demoiselle and common blue damselflies along the ditches .

Forgot to mention good numbers of black caterpillars feeding on nettles on the rough field next to the railway line at the rufford end .
