Lower Healey

Post by Neil Southworth »

There was a pair of Mute Swans on Bottom Lodge, and also a single on Top Lodge which flew off. A pair of Coot was on bottom lodge but no sign of any young. A female Mallard on top lodge had 4 small ducklings. A couple of Buzzard were circling over the Nab and another was over Great Knowley. Still singing were Chiffchaff 4, Blackcap, Whitethroat 2, Willow Warbler, Goldcrest, Song Thrush and Reed Bunting. A few Swallow were feeding low over the fields, but just a single House Martin.
