Yarrow Valley Park

I had an appointment at the Opticians so called into YVP mainly to see the Terns and Reed warblers which I still need for my Chorley year list. No Terns! Looks like the Black Headed Gulls have taken over one Tern raft with the other raft being completely overgrown. I had better luck with the Reed Warbler (Chorley list 92) seeing one straight away foraging for insects along the edge of the reeds, I was trying to get a photo of it when a Kingfisher landed on a branch a few yards away, result no reed warbler pics but plenty of the Kingfisher. Other birds seen, Gt. Crested Grebe, Heron, 2 Grey Wagtails. it was nice to see the pair of Mute Swans with 6 cygnets after all the fails they've had in past years.
