little owl at last and owl road casualty

Little owl showing well this evening on the finney ( took six months to find one :) but sadley found a juvenile tawny olw dead along lydiate lane at eccleston .
Little owl brings the chorley year list up to 132 species .

Hi Gary, You're doing really well with your year list, are you on track to beat last years total? Glad you had a sighting of a Little Owls, I haven't seen one in Eccleston this year and I think I might only have had one last year, they've certainly disappeared from the area in comparison to a few years back when there were 3 pairs just around Tincklers fields and along the river.

Not far from last years total John with harrier species , yellow wagtail , osprey , tree pipit all possible ticks to get in the next 6 months , back to the little owls they do seem to be struggling at the moment maybe the tawnys owls are driving them out .
