4 hours at White Coppice hoping for a sight of the cuckoo. No sightings or calls for 3 hours (walking around White Coppice and the Goit).
Then first sighting in the top of a dead tree in the clump of oaks by Dean black brook. Then I got lucky, with the male cuckoo showing well on one of the dead tree stumps below the quarry, allowing me to get some decent photos.
Also enjoyed seeing numerous Stonechats (m/f) showing well in the bracken.
