12.15-1.00pm - finally caught up with the flycatcher pair after 4 visits. Their elusiveness could be caused by an aggressive female chaffinch protecting her territory and the flycatchers were soon noisily seen off.
Also cuckoo heard towards Stronstey (met Ricky Hoyle who said he'd also heard a cuckoo on the western side of Anglezarke), curlew calling, mistle & song thrush, pied wagtail, redstart singing, pair of goldcrest and blackcap.
Lepiodotera: brimstone, orange tip, small white
Spotted flycatcher brings Chorley species total for the year to 128

I was also at Anglezarke this morning, but sadly the Spotted Flycatcher remained elusive. Other sightings:-
