A few skylark, flock of circa 10 linnet, small flocks of 3-5 swift, house martin and swallow. Whitethroat, a few Mallard*, a few Reed Bunting, couple of Yellowhammer, Grey Wagtail, field with too many mixed Herring / LBBG to count, Hare.
*one was isolated and different...

I'm not sure on Garganey and just looks like female mallard to me.
Beak certainly looks very Mallard like.

Feather pattern & eye stripe looks Garganey like, how big was it in comparison to the Mallard?

Still just a Mallard for me !
Just spotted the orange legs too like on a Mallard whereas Garganey has blue/grey legs.

It looked small with an oversize beak and from a distance I actually thought female shoveler, but I think the orange leg thing swings it towards mallard. Ah well, better that than a false claim eh!
