Anglezarke reservoir circular walk

Post by MarkF »

Clockwise from Waterman's Cottage - Chiffchaff, willow warbler, nuthatch, meadow pipit, jay, thrush, 10 or so canada geese in the fields. Two raven gronking, wood mouse, grebe on nest, pied wagtail, collared dove, 4 or 5 lapwing, greylag probably pair, curlew over, gropper in reeds near back of nab bluewaters, heron at Waterman's Cottage. Bobbed along Stronstrey Bank as it was going dark, another gropper by first footpath (aka Margerys Place), tawny.

Also a mystery bird at 1, 6, 11, 14 seconds calling in trees.

The grebe was still on the nest tonight, it is easily observed if anyone want to PM me for the location.
