Reservoirs

Post by Neil Southworth »

In view of the large influx of Black Terns in the north west yesterday and to a lesser extent today, I thought I'd better check out the local waters. Not a sniff! For what it's worth:-
Upper Rivington:- Greylag and Canada Goose, Mallard, Cormorant, Grey Heron 3 min, Sparrowhawk over being mobbed by BH gulls
Lower Rivington:- Cormorant 2
Yarrow:- Canada Goose, Mallrd with 2 chicks
Anglezarke:- Canada Goose, Mallard, Tufted Duck 4, GC Grebe, GS Pecker, Pied Wagtail, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Blackcap
Heapey 1 and 2:- Mallard 20, GC Grebe 2, Cormorant, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Goldcrest, Goldfinch
