Georges Lane/Belmont Road and Roynton Lane - Birds seen/heard - 5 Lesser Redpoll, 2 Linnet, 4 Goldfinch, 5 Chaffinch, 5 Wheatear, 1 Stonechat (m), 10+ Lapwing scattered over several fields, 2 Magpie, 10+ Meadow Pipit, 1 Grasshopper Warbler in the sedges below Roynton Lane, Carrion Cow, 6 Willow Warbler, 1 Chiffchaff, 3 Crossbill over heading SW, 2 Pied Wagtail, 2 Reed Bunting (m), LBB Gulls, BH Gulls, Robin, Dunnock, Blue Tit, 2 Coal Tit, Pheasant, Woodpigeon, Blackbird, Goldcrest heard.

Mammals - 2 Roe Deer together (both male), 2 Brown Hare.

Croston Sewage Works - 2 Pied Wagtail, 2 Shelduck, 1 Oystercatcher, several Starling, BH Gull, Woodpigeon, Robin, Dunnock.

Upper Rivington Reservoir - 2 Greylag Geese, 2 Great Crested Grebe.
Lower Rivington Reservoir - 3 Greylag Geese, 1 Grey Heron, 20+ LBB Gulls, Mallard.

Chorley Cemetery - Blue Tit, Great Tit, Robin, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Nuthatch, Willow Warbler. 2 Mallard (m) on the pond. 4 Common Buzzard over.

Mammals - 3 Grey Squirrel.

Flowers - King cups, Ribwort Plantain, Cuckoo Flower, Cowslip, Wood Avens, Wood Anemone, Water Mint.

Lepidoptera - 1 Peacock Butterfly


Grasshopper Warbler takes me to 119 species.
