Lower Wheelton to Withnell - Whins Lane to canal to Withnell Fold flashes and back - 2 Garden Warbler, 3 Blackcap, 5 Chiffchaff, 4 Willow Warbler, 3 pairs Nuthatch, 40+ Canada Geese near flashes and a further 8 at other locations near to canal with at least 3 seen on nests, 50+ Lapwing scattered over a number of fields but no chicks seen, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Moorhen, Reed Bunting, 2 Goldcrest, Dunnock, Robin, Mallard. 1 Curlew heard, 1 Oystercatcher seen 2 others heard, 2 Grey Wagtail, 1 Pied Wagtail, Swallows, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Long Tailed Tit, Coal Tit heard, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Mute Swan, Woodpigeon, Pheasant, Rook, Jackdaw, Carrion Crow, Magpie & Jay.

Mammals: 8 Rabbits in 3 locations.

Wymott Ponds & Ridley Lane - Oystercatcher heard, Willow Warbler including female with nest material, Chiffchaff, 1 Lesser Whitethroat heard, 1 Common Whitethroat (heard and seen on the other side of the railway).

Lepidoptera: 1 (f) Orange Tipped White and 1 Peacock butterfly.

E-shaped ponds - 1 Lesser Whitethroat heard

Eyes Lane - Lapwing, Mallard on River Douglas with 8 ducklings, Swallow, Chaffinch, Yellowhammer, Mallard, Canada Geese & 2 Mute Swans.

Mammals: 1 Grey Squirrel

Garden Warbler, Common Whitethroat and Lesser Whitethroat takes me to 117 species.
