Holker Lane and Eyes Lane

Holker Lane approx 1145
Teeming with birds after the rain
Starling c750
Gulls c250 of 4 species
Oystercatcher 38 (a new high count for me here)
Lapwing several
Pied Wagtail 1
Meadow Pipit 1

Eyes Lane approx 12 noon
GBB Gull 2
Shelduck 8
Mallard 2
Skylark 3

Black Swan 1 (!!)

Black Swan still on Eyes Lane about 6pm with the 6 Whoopers. Also 2 Mute Swan and 5 Lapwing.

20-30 full summer plumage Pied Wagtail mainly males but no White. 2 Meadow Pipit. 1 Oystercatcher. 2 Shelduck.

On Holker Lane floods were 2 Shelduck, 2 Canada Geese and 2 Mute Swan.
