Willow Tits

Post by Brian Derbyshire »

Quick post to say the Willow Tits are back - disappeared for the summer returned end of October. At least 2, maybe more but difficult to say. Never had any ongoing contact with the research group looking into Willow Tit populations etc - but very pleased they are back. Aslso today 75 Pink Feet heading direct North - going in wrong direction??

Brian, I went out with Chris Taylor of LWT a few times in the Spring / early summer to sites in Chorley from which we have recently had records. We managed to confirm their presence at most of the sites, including Hartwood. I think they are planning to do habitat work at Yarrow Valley Park next year to benefit Willow Tits.

Thanks Brian, I possibly had one here in Eccleston about a month ago but only had the briefest of glimpses as it disappeared into a hedge.
