River Douglas / Great Close

Paid a flying visit after White Coppice. Sightings:-
River:- Canada Goose 6, Mallard 4, Swallow
Pools:- Shelduck 6, Oystercatcher 21, Lapwing min 20, Redshank 4, Pied Wagtail 4 (definitely black and white!)
Generally:- Buzzard 2, Kestrel, Skylark 2, Chiffchaff 2, Blackcap
Insects:- Green-veined White, Small Tortoiseshell

Blackcap takes me to 100

The white wagtail was out in the middle of the pools , the pied wagtails seem to be happier along the river .

Another ton up, well done Neil.

I could "only" manage Avocet, Knot, Scaup and Little Egret today - but before you get too excited, it was out of area at Marshside !
