We braved all the elements and no new ticks.
Our first stop was a very windy Brinscal moor hoping for Wheatear but no luck .just plenty of Skylarks and Meadow Pipits.
Onto White Coppice with the hope of Little Owl ,no luck we even dipped on Neville s Stonechats but to be fair we were passed by a lg party of walkers.birds we did see were,Nuthatch. Grey Wagtail. Goldfinch. Magpie. Blue tit .Gt.Tit. Greenfinch. C.Crows. Chaffinch. Lapwing. Robin. (H)Pheasant .the only bird song seemed to be Wrens. Then the rain came.time for a drink etc at the cafe.nice to meet Carol on her travels.
Onto A49flooded fields hoping for L.R.Plover.but no luck.there were. 4Pied Wagtails 2Lapwing and a pr.of Curlew one displaying to the other which was nice.
Decided to finish off with a visit to Arley, looking for the Manderin which keeps eluding us but you guessed it no luck with those either.however we saw 6Teal.1Moorhen. 2Cormorant. 1Gt.C.Grebe. Grey Heron. Reed Bunting. Gt.Tit. c.28Woodpigeons. And a singing Chiffchaff .just as it started to hailstone.
