Great crested grebe 3
Canada goose 18
Mute swan 2
Reed Bunting 1
And then another couple of magical moment
Went to investigate what was upsetting the magpies. Finally managed to get Treecreeper with 2 fliiting in the ivy. And as watching one, suddenly spotted 2 black eyes looking directly at me from the ivy. A Tawny Owl in the same view as the Treecreeper !! The owl was also harassed by Goldcrest, Nuthatch, Blackbird, Robin, Blue Tir,Great Tit,Coal Tit and Chaffinch !
And just as typing this, 4 Ring-necked Parakeets have flown over !
Treecreeper and Parakeet take me to 97 for the year.
No sign of the Mandarin.

97
Obviously well worth getting up early this lovely spring morning.
Our starlings woke me up when they dislodged the stone covering the hole in our gable end which I had put up to keep out the noisy jackdaws.
AM says that we can let them nest in there because they are not so much of a nuisance and they need every nest hole which they can find. They used to nest inside the eaves but a rodent got to them a couple of years ago.
