Three sounds of spring

Post by John Frankland »

The first was a *Curlew at 8am on Holker Lane, Ulnes Walton calling and seen with mixed flock of 4 species of gull.

Then on Eyes Lane at 815am, the 2nd and 3rd were in the form of 3 singing Yellowhammer and 2 singing Skylark.

Also there were 2 Mute Swan, 2 Oystercatcher and 200 Lapwing in the fields to the west of the Douglas.

* Curlew advances me to 84 for the year.
