Re: Common Bank Lodge
Only living round the corner this patch of water is on my doorstep and I've kept a mental record of the winter Goosander numbers over the last 10 years. Today was certainly the highest count I've known and the 8 males I counted was the most males I've seen on the lodge as well. Interestingly as well I've found the Goosander don't normally tend to arrive on the lodge in these numbers until closer to spring. The mild weather might be messing with their internal clocks?

Re: Common Bank Lodge
I had a look back in time and saw that I'd posted on 21st Feb which was more usual for when the Goosander started to group back on the lodge. Seems like I've equalled my own personal best count for males as I'd had 8 on that date too.
