Afternoon walk around the Birkacre lodges - 7 goosander (4m & 3 f); male mute swan & its 3 offspring; good numbers of coot, mallard, tufted ducks, BH gulls on Big Lodge; 2 GC grebe; nuthatch; chaffinch; wren; Gr & Bl tits; heron wolfing down a large fish near the weir; kingfisher on its usual perch on Top Lodge; kestrel hunting.
