After last nights heavy rain the large field next to the Douglas has lots of standing water all over , no new waders in but a male wigeon was a welcome surprise the wigeon took up off the river and landed on the flood water before taking up again and landing further up the river , at least 3 redshank , 15 oystercatcher , usual lapwings , mallard , teal , canada geese , 4 moorhen , 1 coot .
