Single dunlin was the star bird today feeding in the same spot as yesterdays godwits i picked up the bird in flight and assumed it was a little ringed plover before it landed and started to feed the dunlin eventually flew off north ( did not settle well) . there was also at least 4 redshank , 6 oystercatcher , lapwings scattered everywhere , 15 teal were on the flood as well, nearby were 50 fieldfare, buzzard , kestrel, as i said yesterday this area is well worth keeping an eye on especially after heavy rain as the last 2 days as shown .
Dunlin takes my chorley year list up to 99 species .

A very good bird for here Gary, I had intended to walk to Croston Moss this morning but decided against it because of the rain.
