Re: adlington res
Had a look late afternoon following Andy's post.
Birds seen/heard: Adlington Reservoir - 3 Great crested Grebe (adult pair and a non-breeding bird), 2 Mallard, Moorhen, Mandarin (male) & Kingfisher. No Sand Martins.
In Nature reserve - pair of Mandarin, GSW heard, 1 Teal (male), Moorhen, Woodpigeon, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Long Tailed Tit, at least 2 Willow Tit heard. Possibly heard Water Rail but not enough to be certain as GCG was calling at same time.
Adlington side - 1 Curlew flew over.
Standish side - 1 Brown Hare, Rooks, 2 Common Buzzard.
2 new ticks with Curlew and Willow Tit, give me 85 species in the Chorley Nats area this year.
