Croston circular walk 2pm to 530pm

Circular walk from north Croston along River Lostock to River Yarrow along River Douglas, onto Croston Moss to feeding station and back through the centre of Croston.

Birds seen:

Fieldfare 2-300
Skylark 100-150
Reed Bunting 15
Meadow Pipit 4
Goosander 5 (3m/2f at confluence of Yarrow and Douglas)
Buzzard 5 minimum
Teal * 20-25 on Douglas
Shelduck * 6 over Douglas
Mute Swan 4 near Red Bridge
Pied Wagtail 1
Pink footed Goose 10
Linnet Chaffinch & Greenfinch flock 40
Willow Tit * 1 at feeding station (also Blue, Great and Long-tailed)
Tree Sparrow 5
Yellowhammer 3
Peregrine 1
Sparrowhawk 1m
Kestrel 3
Lapwing 75
Grey Partridge 2 calling
no owls

3 new species * = 76 for the year.
