Search for the lesser spotted woodpecker .

Post by gary lilley »

As I was walking through the woods today i came up with an idea about the LS Woodpecker , with the bird almost extinct in lancashire i thought about our society going out ( in numbers ) searching for the species , maybe picking a particular weekend and getting as many members out searching well known haunts of the species ( listening for drumming , checking out the tree canopy , etc) and who knows a bird or two may turn up .
