A drizzly morning of fledglings. Along the river near the picnic benches probably over 100 birds of various families. A wonderful sight and sound. Blackcap, Garden Warbler, Whitethroat, Nuthatch, Goldcrest, Long Tailed, Great and Blue Tit, Chiffchaff and Bullfinch all in there!
Hobby flew through low and fast. Heading NE, possibly the same bird being seen on the moors? Cormorant over, headed towards the lodge. Mixed group of 50+ Swift, House and Sand Martin.
Looks like 2 families of House Martin have fledged - close gathering of c15 birds over my back garden.
