The pair of Mute Swans have just two cygnets - a poor return from the 6 eggs reported. No sign of reproduction from other species on the lake. Chiffchaff and Blackcap singing in the wooded areas.

4 eggs left in the swan's nest. A mallard nested in a garden on Astley rd.the owner and a neighbour
shepherded the female and 8 ducklings into Astley park making sure they avoided the traffic, ( good for them ).
