unidetified plant eccleston syd brook

found a plant in flower its twice now ive found in the last couple of years the plant reminds of a clematis in its leaf form and the flowers are small bunches of bright purple leafs and bright yellow centres i could not find anything resembling it in my book any ideas ?

First congratulations on becoming a golden eagle. Did you have the opportunity to take a photo? Although I am the flower recorder and learning all the time about wild flowers, I have never been a gardener and unfortunately know nothing about garden plants. Describing the flower as resembling a clematis sadly means nothing to me. I am sure one of our other botanist members will be able to help.
