High tide today, Merlin, Short eared owl, 2 Kestrels, Little Egret, plenty of Redshanks, massive flock of Widgeon, plenty meadow pipits, shovelers, shell ducks and 3 grey heron.

Wed 13th Jan
Bitterly cold and visibility was awful due to the drifting snow. However, did manage to see a male hen harrier hunting over the marsh and a female merlin sat on a fence post. Usual waders and wildfowl. Large groups of starling, linnet and skylark.
