Spent most of the day at a very flooded (but sunny) Leighton Moss, all the paths on the reserve were under 6 inches to a foot of water - photo with the mallards is of an actual path. Sightings included marsh harrier (m & f) hunting low over the reedbed, peregrine, sprawk sending the redshanks skyward, more shoveler, teal and gadwall than Eyes Lane but less pintail and wigeon, great white egret (2), curlew, c snipe (2), BT godwit, curlew sand (2), spotted red, single knot among 100's of redshanks, kingfisher, unseen but definitely heard cetti's warbler, bearded tit (f) showed briefly, noisy marsh tit feeding in a hawthorn tree.
