I went to see the immature Kentish Plover at Southport after work today. It was still present near the slipway to the beach parking area. The wind was horrendous and several Plovers were sheltering behind small clumps of grass, including the Kentish Plover which was markedly smaller than the Ringed Plover and Dunlin that were also present.(yet another lifer achieved this year).
