Marshside

Post by peter rowlands »

Spent a couple of hours on the marsh this morning. Lots of waders and BH Gulls on the inner marsh, many of them in breeding mode. Little Egrets. Mute Swans. Gadwalls showing well. Blackcap. Goldfinch. Linnet. 10 plus Wheatear mostly male. Skylark. Meadow Pipit. Lapwing. Greenfinch Merlin and Kestrel and a Brown Hare showed well. My good deed for the day was to stop the traffic to see a Mallard and her 9 Ducklings across the road in Bretherton.
