Finally got down to Hope Carr Nature Reserve for the Blyth's Reed Warbler. Very very elusive with only brief views. Last seen as flight views early afternoon in the brambles by the Sewage Works fence at the north end of the reserve.
Green Sandpiper and Adult Mediterranean Gull within the sewage works compound.

Re: Blyth's Reed Warbler in Leigh
Popped down again this morning to Hope Carr NR and finally got the prolonged views of the Blyth's Reed Warbler I'd been hoping for. Showed well from 9.30 to 10.30 when I left and was calling frequently. A very harsh but quiet sounding tkkk sound. Quite Sylvia warbler like but softer.
