Leighton Moss
Highlights were several sightings of a skulking purple heron (head and neck) and a dog otter displaying and hunting in front of the Public Hide for an hour or so. Also greenshank (3), redshank (100's), green sandpiper (3), ringed plover (8), dunlin (15), black-tailed godwit (3), little egret (8), c snipe (4), red deer.

Not the best images as I had to reduce their 'size' but the Purple Heron was showing very well this morning, as was an Otter, at Leighton Moss today. Purple Heron brought eldest Simon very nicely up to 250 birds for the UK.
