Cornwall
Just back from family holiday in Cornwall. Very limited time for birding but a few opportunities for eldest to pick up a few southern specialities. Dartford Warbler at Aylesbeare Common RSPB on the way down, whilst Cirl Bunting near Falmouth were lovely. Highlight though was a pilgrimage for eldest to Porthgwarra for a brief afternoon seawatch Many many years since I'd last huddled beneath the granite stones... 1000's of Manxies went past, and 100's of Gannet. Highlights for us were Sooty Shearwater and Storm Petrel. Some good ticks for eldest...

Re: Cornwall
Thanks for the info Ian, I spotted your post on the forum whilst in Cornwall for my Goddaughters wedding and decided to visit Aylesbeare Common on the way home. saw my first ever Dartford Warblers, along with several Whinchat and a Green Woodpecker. Also lots of Grayling butterflies which were also a first for me.
