White Winged Black Tern - Horwich
Just out of area at High Rid Reservoir in Horwich is a juvenile WW Black Tern. It's been there several days, originally reported as Black Tern. Apparently it has been flying off NW on several occasions before returning. Looking at the maps this would take it to either the small reservoir near Georges Lane, or fingers crossed keep watching the Rivington reservoirs.

Juvenile White Winged Black Tern showing well at High Rid around midday when I left.
Apparently the bird is spending the night elsewhere leaving around 6.30 pm and not returning till around 10.00 am. Lower Rivington reservoir has got to be worth a look.
