Martin Mere
Spent the morning at Martin Mere yesterday hoping to see the GC Grebes with there chicks again, but no sign of them from the Harrier Hide. Swallows, house Martins, Sand Martins and swifts skimming the water though. All the usual waders on the reserve. Lots of BH Gulls with young and a few Common Tern flying around. Grey Herons and a Little Grebe, also a Little Egret from the Kingfisher Hide. Lots of adult and young finches around some being fed by adults. Nice to see the Tree Sparrows doing well. A Kingfisher Janet Kear Hide showed well with two more at the Ron Barker Hide. Two Sedge Warblers and Wrens singing from the hide and a Stoat was hunting close by.
